Staff
Ashleigh Nightingale
[Executive chef]
Ashleigh Nightingale grew up on the streets of Ul'dah; she realizes the value of a hot meal and warm words. Due to her kind nature, she has relinquished her birthright as the rightful Queen of Ala Mhigo, seeing that it was the best for the country. Now a simple adventurer, she dedicates her life to helping people realize that there are still kind souls in Eorzea.
Lazarous Trenebere
[Chef de cuisine]
Lazarous Tranebere, an Ishgardian refugee who found a home in Gridania, is a dedicated member of the Forest Crow. In his free time, he finds joy in volunteering at a local soup kitchen, offering warm meals to those in need. Learning about Ashleigh's new venture, Lazarous eagerly joins forces with her, utilizing his natural talents to gather fresh ingredients. Together, they create a place where people not only find nourishment but also a sense of belonging and hope, reminding the community of the transformative power of kindness and compassion.
Male Nanny
[Sous Chef de Cuisine]
In an old life, Manny was a part of the Yakuza, shaking down those who dare run from their debts with an iron fist. Calloused and haphazard was he, until he quit life in the criminal underworld... and found himself hired as the majordomo of The Cloudgleam Estates. From managing shakedowns, he is now managing the daily whims of a persnickety Little Heir. Manny is a man given a second chance, living his new life in service to others.
Yuzuki Toyotomi
[Chef de Partie]
Born into a clan that served as the Ruby Princess' bodyguards and executioners, Yuzuki knew nothing else but his duty and the bloodshed of his position. Sent out into the world above, he was tasked to hunt down an escaped convict to bring back home--dead or alive. In order to gather intel, he thought it would be a good idea to work in a cafe. Now part of Second Chance, Ashleigh not only shows him how to cook but how to best be in the service of others without the use of violence.
Thranduil Oakenshield
[Aboyeur]
Stoic and taciturn, Thranduil roams the Black Shroud, offering his assistance to those who may have need of it without expectation of any compensation. He may accept the offer of a warm meal and a sturdy roof to rest, which is what drew him to soup kitchens.
The Second Chance Soup Kitchen aims to provide an avenue for new and old adventurers to meet other people while having a warm meal!We follow three important rules: community building, safety, and respect for each other. We would like to do a rundown of the house rules below:
Please be respectful towards all Volunteers and guests.
Please refrain from doing ERP in the Soup Kitchen. We would like for all of our guests to be comfortable while eating! Should you find someone you'd like to spend "special time" with, you may take them out on a date on the romantic beach nearby!
Please do not use /yell or /shout; this is only reserved for Volunteers to use.
Please do not use "Looking to Meld" (/lookingtomeld) status; this is only reserved for Volunteers. You may, however, use "Looking For Party" (/lfp) if you are looking for people to RP with!
Please do not engage in violent or other acts with non-consenting persons. Please don't forget to ask for consent--consent is very attractive!
You may use emotes for your RP, but please be mindful not to spam the emotes in chat.
Bard performances within our venues are welcome, provided that you inform the Volunteers first. Please note that we can accommodate one performing band at a time--we wouldn't want to overwhelm the guests!
Please dismiss all minions, weapons, or pets before entering the venue. We want everyone to be comfortable and have ample space.
Mods are not required and vanilla is highly encouraged--we want to make the Soup Kitchen as newbie friendly as possible! But if you still prefer using mods, it's okay!
Please refrain from using modded dances with music or loud emotes that override system sounds while within the kitchen.
Please note that RP or public and private conversation that is disruptive to the enjoyment and safety of other guests will not be tolerated and will be given appropriate and immediate action by the Volunteers--they're really strong!
For any concerns, or reporting of disruptive or harassing behaviors, please don't hesitate to send our Volunteers a /tell.
